On Friday, April 20th, I went with Sissy and her kindergarten class to the National Zoo for a field trip. Each parent that went had two students they were responsible for. I was in charge of Miya and our sweetheart. Once we arrived at the zoo, we had about two hours to see as many animals as we could.
These two girls had a lot of fun together and it was fun to be with them.
We saw the apes...
and the orangutans.
(They were actually out on the high wires when we were there. It was fun to see them dangling on and walking across the wires several feet above us.)
We also saw the lions laying around...
and a monkey eating a carrot...
and river otters.
We didn't see any giraffes, but the girls found a tile along the walk way with a giraffe on it. So, I took a picture of them next to the giraffe tile instead of next to an actual giraffe.
It was a fun day enjoying the warm weather, seeing the animals, and hanging out with these two little monkeys at the zoo.
