On May 29th we celebrated Buddy's 4th birthday! I still can't believe it's been 4 years since this precious little boy came into our family!
Here is one of our first pictures of our little munchkin, May 31st, 2007. What a handsome young man!
This is a more recent photo of the birthday boy!
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION PART 1:
This year, on his actual birthday, we played games and enjoyed lunch at Chuck E Cheese, a bit of a family tradition...
Then, we came home and he opened his gifts from Sissy, mom and dad, and Grandma Jean. Sissy gave him a Spiderman toy that she picked out. She was so excited to give this to him. She just knew he'd like it, and he did!
Grandma Jean sent his gift, a pillow pet, a few weeks before his birthday. He just loves his pillow pet.
We got him a new sprinkler...
and a soccer ball.
After the gifts were all opened, we sang happy birthday and each enjoyed a cookies 'n cream cupcake.
(His cupcake had four candles.)
It was a great day!
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION PART 2:
Then, while we were home in Indiana last week, we were excited to celebrate Buddy's birthday again. Grandpa Herman grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner.
Buddy was able to celebrate his birthday with his cousins. This is something very special since we live 11 hours away from them.
I'm not sure what they were all looking at and talking about, but I thought it was a cute picture of them all.
Being goofy with his cousins, Gabe and Hannah
After dinner, we all enjoyed his birthday cake, a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. A perfect dessert for a summer day!
Waiting to eat some cake...
Blowing out his four candles with Sissy's help...
After trying to eat his ice cream cake with a fork, Buddy started licking it like an ice cream cone. Too funny!
Opening his gifts...
After he opened his gifts, he and his cousins went outside to blow some bubbles that Grandma and Grandpa Herman provided...
Buddy's cousin, Liam, even tried to get in on the action...
We were so happy to celebrate with Grandma Jean...
Uncle Dave and Aunt Tiffany...
Aunt Debbie and Uncle Brady...
Uncle Kenny and Aunt Tracey and...
Grandpa and Grandma Herman.
We all had a fun time celebrating Buddy's birthday!
We love you, Buddy! You're a sweet, caring, fun-loving, macaroni eating, always ready to give a hug (especially at dinner time), adoring your sister, crazy-eyed, thumb sucking, doggy loving, little man! We are so thankful you are a part of our family! It would not be complete without you!
